Demi Lovato Talks about Her Addiction

Famous pop singer from U.S., Demi Lovato who was accused of drug overdose last month, has spoken for the first time after the incident. The singer has posted on her Instagram account that she has always been clear about her journey with addiction. This is not something which just goes away with time but needs continuous vigilance to come out of it. In earlier days, Lovato spoke about her eating disorders, bipolar and addiction to drugs.

The popular singer has conveyed her thankfulness to her family and the doctors at Cedars Sinai hospital at Los Angeles. She adds that without their support, it was not possible for her to get better. She further expresses her gratitude to God for bestowing her with good health and taking care in times of need. She also thanked her fans for their unabated love and support through these trying times. In her social networking profile, the singer says that she just need a little time to heal and be focused on being sober once again. The road to recovery may be tough but she will continue her fight towards being better one more time.

Lovato has many hits to her credit and the most popular of them all includes Cool for the Summer, Skyscraper and Sorry Not Sorry. She has struggled with her addiction to drugs and other substances for a long time and was afraid of a relapse recently. Last month, the singer cancelled her concert at O2 Arena in London just hours before it was scheduled to start and that too with an announcement on Twitter.

The singer is known to have documented her life’s struggles in her songs which has also added to her fan following. In her latest single, the lyric goes something like this where she is asking her mother and father for forgiveness for not being sober anymore.
