Huawei, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer, has rolled out its newest wearable dubbed as the TalkBand B5 in its home turf this week. This was rolled out along with the Nova 3 handset. It is already accessible for pre-orders in China via Vmall. The Sports variant has straps available in Black, Ash, and Brown color alternatives whereas the Business variant has a metal strap.
The TalkBand B5 is the heir to the TalkBand B3 fitness device that was rolled out back in April couple of years ago. Similar to its precursor, the TalkBand B5’s USP is that it operates as a Bluetooth headphone that will permit consumers to listen to music and take calls by using the device out of its strap.
In terms of specs, the device provides an AMOLED 1.13-inch screen, which is stated to be 2.4 times larger than that of TalkBand B3. It comes with a protection of 2.5D curved glass. It is supported by a battery worth 108mAh that is claimed to offer almost 3.5 Days of battery life and almost 6 Hours of talk time on a sole charge.
While the TalkBand B5 has a weight of 40 Grams and a dimension of 58.2 mm x 23.3 mm x 12.9 mm, the headset unit has a weight of 14.3 Grams and a dimension of 44.1 mm x 20 mm x 11.9 mm.
The display-cum-Bluetooth device has high-definition voice support and is fueled by a trip-core audio processor. It is claimed to offer advanced voice calling experience due to its in-built setup for dual microphone in addition to noise reduction capability. The display provides speed dial and caller ID support. Operating on Huawei EMUI 4.1 OS, the device also permits consumers to mute calls and view the call history.
On a related note, the company recently has extended its Nova series of handset. The firm has rolled out the Nova 3 handset in China at an event. The smartphone comes in Black, Purple, Gold, and Blue color options and will go on sale from July 20, 2018, in China.
