Colorado Buffaloes Appoint Mike MacIntyre Head Coach

Following the worst season in its history the Colorado Buffaloes football team have appointed former San Jose State head coach Mike MacIntyre to head the program.

The underperforming Buffaloes attracted MacIntyre to join their Pac 12 conference team after he had turned the unfancied San Jose State Spartans from a team with a losing record into a top 25 ranked team in only three short seasons.

MacIntyre, 47 has previously worked at the Dallas Cowboys and Duke before making the step up to head coach at San Jose State in 2010; MacIntyre takes up his role with Colorado immediately and will not lead the Spartans in their first bowl appearance since 2006 this December.

The new head coach has been given a five year contract reported to be worth $10 million to make the step up from the Western atlantic Conference to the higher profile PAC 12.
